Colour Blocking: green and blue

I am definitely a woman and I enjoy it...

I may not be the PRETTIEST girl...

I may not be the SMARTEST girl...
I may not be the FUNNIEST girl...

I may not the most POPULAR girl...

I may not be the STRONGEST girl...

I may not be the most ATHLETIC girl...

It's fine...

The POWERFUL WOMAN OF GOD that I am becoming is what EXCITES ME.

Not who GOD has for you.

Ever read tweets that made you literally SHOUT AMEN? Well I get that all the time when I read

Prophetess Tera Carissa Hodges tweets. If you are not following her on twitter then get on it now!! I absolutely loved the  trend she had going this weekend and I just had to share, all good things should be shared right? RIGHT!!

He's content with dating, and thinks marriage is just a piece of paper- not necessary.

He claims to love God, but he never goes to church or shows any evidence of his faith.

If you have to stalk the woman you think he is interested in

If you view other women as threats you have to pray away so she doesn't get YOUR man,

If he likes short women and you are 5'9, Your Adam will be attracted to YOU!"

He doesn't want to commit, but he wants benefits.

If you have to "out do" other women to get his attention

If he can't pray for you or with you!

If you get the revelation that he is your husband before he does he's

If you have to stalk the woman you think he is interested in

If you have to "out do" other women to get his attention "

If ALL of his ex-girlfriends look like Halle Berry, Beyonce, and Kim Kardashian, and you KNOW you're not in that league

If you get angry because you see him responding to other women on Twitter, and Facebook but he has YET to respond to you

If he never calls you, and YOU are the one ALWAYS initiating conversation via text, e-mail, Facebook, etc. "

If it's been months and he has never asked you out on a date.

If you have to stalk the woman you think he is interested in

If you have to lure him .

and lastly..... If you are angry at my TL, you are probably involved with a man that's

Comparing myself to others is NOT on my 'to do' list

Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get satisfaction of the job well done, and you won't need to compare yourself to anyone else. Galatians 6:4NLT.

The Bible says we should never compare ourselves to others but how many of us tend to do it anyway? I will be honest, comparing myself to others was once my Achilles’ Heel. I was prone to comparing EVERYTHING. I compared grades, I compared schools, I compared degrees, you name it I compared
Ever find yourself thinking the grass really is greener on the other side? DO NOT!!! For one thing, it undermines your ability to be grateful for what God has given you. It also leads you into discontentment because you will always find people who appear to be better off than you.  Apostle Paul says such comparisons are foolish, “In all this comparing and grading and competing, they quite miss the point.” (2 Corinthians 10:12b Msg) If you focus on what you are not, what you do not have, who you are not, then you devalue who God actually made you to be, and what He called you to do. We are each different and have different levels of responsibility and authority, but we are all equally valuable in the sight of God. Don't spend your life looking at others and defining yourself by what you are not, rather look to Christ and discover all that He has created you to be in Him.

One of the reasons Apostle Paul was used so greatly by God was that he refused to be distracted from his purpose by comparing himself with others. We should do the same thing! What is your thing? What has the Lord put into your life that drives you? Whatever it is that the Lord has given YOU to do, do that well, and relax and enjoy it! Do it well, and do it for the glory of God.

Comparing myself to others may have fueled my incredible drive to succeed in everything but I've come to realise that my life is unique, I'm God's creation, designed with individual strengths and talents, perfectly suited to be who God created me to be! God has blessed me with incredible talents that it will be ungrateful to compare to the next man - I'm at the point in my life where I am comfortable with who I am - I am comfortable with my journey in life, my talents, my personality and I AM COMFORTABLE WITH MY OWN GRACE. I'm more interested in becoming that women that God has called me to be. When I get tempted to compare, I just recall His promises and the fact that He has a special plan for my life that is unique unto me. If I but knew the plans and call He has for my life I would never entertain thoughts of wanting to be something that I am not. I trust God. Period.

Note to self:I have a dream

I have big dreams and if I were not a little to embarrassed to share my dreams, I'd spill them all. These aren't the kind of rosy, flowery, and lovely dreams that every girl dreams for her future; these are the dreams to do something big. The dreams where you do great things for Jesus Christ and you here him say, "Well done good and faithful servant.".

But before I can make these dreams possible I know that I have to seek the Kingdom of  God first.  More and more each day I am learning about allowing the Holy spirit to lead me. Every time I have a desire to achieve something I always have to ask myself Is what I’m doing going to bring more attention to Jesus or to my own clever abilities?” Whether I want to be put right before the eyes of man or do I want God to use me. The Bible says to “do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.”. We should “do all to the glory of God” (I Cor. 10:31).That tells me that anything I pursue that is not rooted in glorifying God, is wrong. It’s temporal, self-centred and limited.

When it comes down to it, I want MY greatness to be overshadowed by GOD’S greatness.
The ministry I do, the business I pursue, the goals I accomplish – may they serve to shine ever so brightly upon the glory and goodness of God because without HIM, we can do nothing. At the end of my life, I don’t want to stand alone with my accolades. I want to stand with the people I’ve poured into.
At the end of Paul’s life on earth, he calls his disciples his joy and crown (Phil. 4:1). Not the books of the Bible he wrote, or the sick he healed, or the incredible sermons he preached, I want to be like that.

But how do you make the distinction? How do you know if what God you want for yourself is what God wants for your life as well? I ask myself these questions...

Is it biblical?
Who gets the credit?
Have I grown enough to receive it?
Would OTHERS glorify God when they see the results?
Would it harm my continued growth with Christ when I receive it?
Would lost people come to Christ when I receive it?
Would the body of Christ be edified?

Not every dream is from God. There is such a thing as godless dreams. But when your dream is God's dream, it's unstoppable. Jesus said that apart from Him we can't do anything and that all our dreams will be frustrated. The power, energy and creativity needed to fulfil our dreams must flow from Jesus.

God does want us to have it all, the car, the money, the house on the hill, that dream job but it is important that we PUT HIM FIRST, that we find our security in Him first. We ought to worship the creator not what He created.

Psalm 62:1-2, Security in God Alone
My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken

Rough day?

Something to meditate on whenever you are feeling overwhelmed....

Psalm 22:3 says that He inhabits the praise of His people. When we praise the Lord, He is in our midst. PRAISE Him right out of your bad attitudes & rough day. Let HIS peace overwhelm you.
