black and white in our main colour. So I took a couple of pics in my counselling attire. I love the woman I am becoming...
When I say that I am a Christian I don't mean that I SPEAK about Christ, I want to say I am a Kingdom-builder. I am not just a church goer, I am a builder.
I don't want to go to church JUST to receive, I want to go to church to GIVE. It is more blessed to give than it is to receive
"...to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up..." - Ephesians 4:12
“Before turning down a request to serve because you feel you are too busy, you might want to … simplify somewhat and make a new appraisal of what you really consider essential. Reconsider your priorities and remember your covenants with the Lord wherein you have covenanted to give of your time, talents, and means liberally to the up building of the kingdom of God.
Sometimes in the Church of Jesus Christ our first response when we hear that we need to contribute in church we automatically think of money, but there are so many other ways we can give service. Each of us have been given talents from the Lord that we should develop and use to serve God and others. Examine your life and see what talents you have. What are you good at? How could you use your talents to help those around you? Can you sing? You could join the church choir. Are you good with children? Offer to service in the children's church. Or like me, are you good with communication, do you love encouraging people? Join the counselling ministry at your local church. The Church is the bride of Christ and Christ wants us to take care her so let's all jump in and do our part!
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." - I Peter 4:10
